In February 2023, the professional soccer team, Austin FC, ran a Lift Every Voice campaign. The campaign amplified voices of leaders in the community in celebration and acknowledgement of the work being done to strengthen the city of Austin.

Black Pearl Books, an all-ages independent bookstore in Austin, Tex., with a mission to promote diversity, inclusion, equity and cultural awareness, has moved into a permanent home at 7112 Burnet St.

Black Pearl Books was featured as a podcast guest (Episode 49) discussing how authors can get their books into independent bookstores.
